Impressionism Takes the Stage

The third in a series of lectures by Instructor Linda Loveland Reid

California impressionists painted the beauty of our state’s many vistas: ocean, desert, redwoods, vineyards, and eucalyptus trees. Artists include Guy Rose, Grandville Redmond, Joseph Raphael, and Colin Campbell Cooper, with visits from William Merritt Chase, Childe Hassam. Theodore Wores painted Chinatown. In a fight to move toward modernism we will review the Society of Six led by Selden Gile. Architect Julie Morgan designs Hearst Castle.

We know this is a hard time for many, including SCA, so registration is being offered on a sliding scale from $5-$50. Any amount will be very much appreciated.
